Juneau, AK 99801
Dear Friend,
Over the past 15 years I've had the privilege of helping patients all across Lakeville, MN and surrounding suburbs with their headaches.
Our clinic is different in that we dig, find, and FIX the root cause of the headaches. We don't simply "mask" the symptom with a medication.
We'll determine the cause which will then determine our course of action. In other words treatment for a tension headache might be different from a migraine. This is what makes our clinic unique and why we get such great results with our patients.
We also have different methods of reducing / minimizing INFLAMMATION in the body...so we'll look at things from a nutritional perspective and make recommendations that will reduce inflammation in the body.
If you're struggling with chronic headaches and can't get to the bottom of it, then give our clinic a call. Our methods are safe, natural, and highly effective.
Causes can be tricky to determine but stress, anxiety, and depression are common triggers. Other causes might include dehydration, lack of sleep, bad posture (i.e. forward head posture), eye strain etc.
A person who has a migraine will typically feel an intense throbbing pain on just one side of the head. They might experience a heightened sensitivity to light, sound, and smell. Nausea and vomiting can also occur. About 1/3 of people experience an aura before the onset of a migraine. These are visual and sensory disturbances. They can include flickering lights, partial loss of vision, numbness, muscle weakness, difficulty speaking etc.
Our clinic specializes in migraines and we have tremendous results due to the objective testing we offer.
Cluster headaches are severe and recurrent headaches that are six times more likely to develop in men than in women. People describe an intense burning or piercing pain behind or around one eye. Cluster headaches are usually sudden and last between 15 minutes and 3 hours. People can experience several attacks one day.
Sinus headaches are caused by a swelling of the sinuses, which is usually the result of an infection or an allergy.
The symptoms consist of a dull, throbbing ache around the eyes, cheeks, & forehead. The pain may worsen with movement or straining and can sometimes spread to the teeth and jaw.
These headaches are usually accompanied by a thick green or yellow nasal discharge. Other symptoms may include, fever, nausea, & light or sound sensitivity.
Heavy caffeine consumption (more than 400mg), or around 4 cups of coffee can sometimes lead to headaches.
In people consuming more than 200 mg of caffeine daily for over 2 weeks, withdrawal may result in headaches. These typically develop within 24 hours after stopping abruptly.
Bumps and blows to the head and neck are common and are typically nothing to worry about.
However, a headache can develop immediately or soon after. These are often similar to migraine or tension headaches.
Anyone who experiences persistent or worsening headaches should see a doctor.
Headaches are often related to changes in hormone levels. In women, migraine is frequently linked with periods due to natural changes in estrogen levels.
These menstrual migraines develop in the days just before or during a period. Symptoms are similar to migraine but without aura.

What Happens On The First Visit?
Very simple. You'll meet with one of the doctors to discuss your concerns. A thorough health history will be performed follow by an examination / evaluation. From there if we think we can help, we'll tell you. If we think a referral to a specialist will be better suited for your needs, we'll provide that. During your 2nd visit is when we provide care plan instructions / recommended action plan moving forward.
Is Chiropractic Safe?
Chiropractic is widely recognized as one of the SAFESST, non-invasive therapies available for the treatment of musculoskeletal complaints. Although chiropractic has an excellent safety record, no health treatment is completely free of potential adverse effects. The risks associated with chiropractic, however, are very small. Many patients feel immediate relief following a chiropractic adjustment, but some may experience mild muscle soreness, stiffness, similar to a post exercise muscle soreness. Current research shows that minor discomfort or soreness following spinal manipulation is typically gone within 24 hours.
Do You Take Insurance?
We will definitely check your insurance benefits to determine if they'll be able to help with your care plan. From there we'll provide with you the most cost effective way of getting the treatment you need.
Is Chiropractic Appropriate For Children?
Absolutely! We see of ton of kids at natural health solutions. Children are very physically active and experience many types of falls and traumas from activities of daily living as well as from participating in sports. Kids have spines (just like adults) and their spines need to be maintained throughout life as well. Chiropractic care is always modified to the individual. It is a highly skilled treatment, and in the case of children, we provide a very gentle approach.
If I Start Chiropractic Care - Do I Have To Keep Coming Back?
Our approach is hands on. Because of this it may require a number of visits to fix the underlying problem. In contrast, a course of treatment from medical doctors often involves a pre-established plan that is conducted at home (i.e. taking a course of antibiotics once a day for a couple of weeks or taking pain killers). As chiropractors we provide hands on treatments which makes a sequence of visits sometimes necessary. We will give you our best recommendations during your 2nd visit in our clinic.
